Music sound

  Good morning everyone I hope you all are having a wonderful day and a great Sunday. Today is the last day of spring break, how time went by so fast. Now it’s time to get straight down to business. I finally got the film that I want to display for my film opening and I just found the sound/music I want to play in the beginning to show the film opening credits.

  There is this website that one of our peers found that brings us with a bunch of music and different sounds that are all copyright free and it is amazing. It has so many different types of genres and all types of sounds. It is called chosic.com it is one of the greatest websites I’ve seen in a while. It is also where I am going to be getting the sound and music I will be playing in the beginning of the film opening. I’m so glad that someone brought it up before the break because I would have had to send emails to people and wait until I got their permission to play the songs or sound I wanted, but now I can just use whatever sound in this website. 

  This website has been such a life saver and I am hoping that maybe if one of our peers watches this they can see how great this website is. I’m very glad that my classmate showed us this website and now I have something great to work on. I am choosing a horror type of sound but I am stuck up on two sounds right now. I want to give that eerie sound but I also want that classic slasher vibe. It is very complicated to explain but I will show you all once I finally choose the sound that I want. I will almost be done with this entire film in like a day or so, I will let you all know.

Film Day Part 2

 Welcome back everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful day and a great weekend. I can't believe that we are already in the last weekend of spring break. It felt liken it was like we just started a day ago. Anyways, today I wanted all of you guys to know that finally, I mean finally, I was able to finish up the filming of the opening. I am so excited to present this to you guys this film I truly believe that you guys will be impressed. 

    I want to thank my cousins and my parents for allowing me to go to my cousin's house and film this project because they are very strict about where I go if it's not soccer. I also thank my cousins because they played a huge role especially the ones that came for their vacation they really helped me out because before I was stressing about who I could get in the film and they were a blessing in disguise. I really am glad they came for spring break it all made it so convenient. They all played their roles so well I couldn't have asked for any better. 

    The film opening will almost be finished but I am so glad that I got to film the actual opening. That was the part that was stressing me out the most but it is finally done and I really hope everyone loves the film because I really put my time into this film opening. I hope that after I put in the film credits and the music and all the effects it will come out the way I want it. It really is all starting to piece together. 

    I am really happy about the progress that I have made and I hope I continue this trend and I keep powering through. I am going to be looking for the opening song that I want to play at the beginning of the film opening credits so then I can transition into the film. Film Day

     Good evening everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful spring break. I have some great news and that involves the production of this film. I know I have been a bit slow in filming this film opening but I have finally got started and I can not lie it feels very good to have started this film.

    It was very strange at the beginning of the film because I didn't really know what to do with the camera and the first take we did, I didn't even start recording the film. There were many bloopers in the making of this film opening including myself. It was a lot of fun but at the same time very stressful, it was a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the process.

    Now comes the part which you guys might hate me for. I actually did not finish filming the entire film opening today, though I only did half of it. It was just very hard to get the whole thing done and took a couple hours to get through the first few camera shots. It is not as simple as it looks to go out and film in one single day. Also, my actors in the film which were my cousins had other things they wanted to do and got frustrated so I just let them go because I rather them be happy than give me half of their potential. 

    Overall, it was a pretty good day when it comes to filming I got the first few scenes of what I wanted and then I got the opening credits and title scene to fit in. I am really hoping that I can fit the other part that I want to add because if I can't I will have to rethink how I am going to organize the film opening. I will most likely film again tomorrow because I think it is the best thing to do since they have their scripts and what they need to do fresh inside their heads.

Filming Day

     Hello everyone welcome back to my blog, I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. Today I will be discussing the filming day. I have been very caught up in my life but there is no more time to waste and now I finally have everything that I need to begin filming this project. I have selected 2 dates on which I will begin filming.

    The first day will be on the 26th of March that is when I get back from my trip and that is the most reasonable day to begin the filming process, and the other day will be the 20th of March. This date will be more of a backup rather than an actual date but still, I have to see what goes on in my life. These dates are more than confirmed I have been a little too passive but I will truly put my focus on filming. 

    In the meantime, I have actually been researching and been started to begin my creative critical reflection. I have done a lot of research into what films made me become inspired for my project, what type of target audience I will be projecting my film to, and how I will be distributing my film opening. I will further go into these topics in the video of my creative critical reflection but there is still a lot more research that I have to conduct and analyze. That is what I mainly have been up to. I will continue to research and add more information to my reflection.

Actors Update

    Hello good evening everyone, finally the day has come where spring break has finally started. I know you all like me have been working very hard and need this break, even if you feel like you haven't worked that hard you still need this break. 

    Today I wanted to update everyone on the actors that will film in the movie. I have got very good notice and actors inside my film now, I have figured out a solution for my slasher and I got my other little cousin to join in the filming. The slasher in the film will be my cousin who comes from Kansas to visit me on spring break. It was very convenient because he is very fit and he has a somewhat menacing figure. He is the perfect candidate to work as HeartAttack because he is very cooperative and he is a pretty good amateur actor. He also is very into slasher films and all that type of horror movies so he has a good idea of what I am going to want and how he is supposed to act in this film. 

    Unfortunately, I was unable to get my little cousin's friend in this film because she said that she was going to be out of town and was not going to be able to contact us. Fortunately, I have found a replacement and that is my cousin's, who's playing the slasher, sister. This is also my cousin, yes I have a lot of cousins my family is huge but that would be for another day. So the girl who will be playing like the best friend to the victim is my cousin so there will be no awkwardness if I record and I will be able to guide her better since she is also close with me. I found this even better because since everyone knows each other and is related this means there will not be any awkward moments and each of them will help each other out if they need to do anything. 

    I have been very fortunate that my two cousins came to visit because I really was struggling to find actors and some friends to help me with this film opening because many of my friends are actually traveling to places. This made it very difficult but I found the best solutions. I have been behind my initial film schedule since I have also been busy with them, but I will let you all know when the cameras begin rolling.

Group Discussion

 Hello everyone nice to have you all back again in my blog post, I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I just participated in a very intriguing class period with my peers.  

    In class today, our teacher told us we had some time to discuss with our fellow class members to talk about our film openings and give back some feedback. I am going to say that some of my classmates are very brilliant and have very great ideas for their film opening. We were all separated into groups of 5 and had around 45 minutes to describe our ideas and give feedback to those ideas. 

    I was the first one out of my group to present my ideas forth. I told them everything and all my ideas that I posted on the blogs and other sneak peek ideas. My classmates were actually very impressed with the idea for my slasher film opening, they loved the idea of it being a twist instead of being like a typical scary day like Halloween it was Valentine's day. They also said they loved the supernatural power that my character HeartAttack had. For the most part, they all loved the idea and thought that it was a very great twist to the stereotypical slasher film.

    Although I did receive a lot of good feedback about my ideas, I also did receive some criticism. One of my classmates saw what I had done on my storyboard, and he was very impressed with the idea but he thought that I needed to focus on something to really display because my storyboard had a lot of things going on and he believed that I might run out of time if I continue to go with how much I was planning. He mostly told me to watch out with the timing because I might go over the limit and not have a focus on what I truly want to display. Another classmate told me that I had to figure out where I was going to put the beginning film credits because it was very necessary and I hadn't really thought of that. These critics were very helpful in me actually focusing on the things I needed to do instead of focusing on other topics of my film opening.

    I am very glad that my teacher let us have this time to discuss these ideas, it brought me a lot of realization and it also gave me some inspiration for my films. I believe that these group discussions truly help with us going forth in this project, it helps us look at what we are doing good and if we are stuck find opportunities. I think we should continue to do these group discussions because it does not only benefit me but also helps a lot of other class members. Equipment and utilities

    Hey good evening fellow bloggers, I hope you all have had a wonderful day and are ready to read my blog. Today is a very different day and is a day where I will be telling you all what equipment I will be using for the moment. I do not own that much filming equipment but I am willing to spend for a better quality opening scene.

    As of right now, I have for equipment-wise an iPhone 11 which I will be filming the main parts of my film opening but I am trying to see if my aunt from Kansas could send me here Canon camera which would be amazing. It the latest Canon camera to come out and the pictures and videos. She also owns a variety of sets of lenses which could help for many different camera angles and shots. This could step up my filming skills and really show off the ideas I have in my head for this film. Hopefully, she allows me to borrow the camera it would truly be amazing. If not, I still have my iPhone which is really good quality but does not compare to the Canon camera.

    

    As for physical equipment, I also just received my tripod the one I was talking about in the previous blogs. I believe this will help me massively for some shots that I have in my head. It will also allow for me to take some shots without needing to instruct a different person on the way I want to film the scene. It took pretty long to get here but it finally did. This is very useful as I can really just set it up anywhere and everywhere and I could just begin shooting without having to worry, but I will still need another person to help me with certain shots because the tripod can't move. That is the only downside I see with the tripod but not everything is flawless.

    For editing, I will be utilizing Imovie to put the clips together and really arrange the sound to how I want it and create the movie. I am still trying to look for some type of editing software so I can create some somethings that I want to create. I will ask my teacher for some guidance and what software is the best to use. But as of right now I currently do not know what editing software I will use. Imovie is great for some simple things of editing but I will mainly use it to rearrange the clips and put them to the way I want them. For the sound of the movie I am trying to contact many owners of the sound to see if I will be able to use it, I will notify you all if I am able to use the sounds I want to. 

    This is really what I have as of right now, even though it might not seem to be that much it is how someone utilizes the equipment that makes the film. But I really hope everything goes well and I am able to use everything I truly want to because if I could, this film could really turn into something good.
